On February 27, 2026, Ohio EPA issued draft Hazardous Waste Facility Installation and Operation Permit to EKC Advanced Electronics USA, LLC. (EKC) , U.S. EPA Identification Number OHD004287322, for its facility located at 800 Dupont Road, Circleville, Ohio 43113 in Pickaway County. EKC operates a hazardous waste facility that converts chemical intermediates into synthetic resin and film products as well as operation of two (2) hazardous waste fired process heaters. The purpose of this permit is to allow EKC to conduct the following hazardous waste management activities: operation of two (2) hazardous waste boilers.
For the permit application to receive final approval, Ohio EPA must determine that the permit application is complete and meets appropriate standards and that the applicant has a history of compliance with relevant environmental laws and demonstrates sufficient reliability, expertise, and competency to operate a hazardous waste facility.
The Draft Permit can be viewed at the Pickaway County Library, located at 1160 N Court St, Circleville, Ohio 43113. There will be a public meeting held at this location at 6:00 pm on April 29, 2026.
