Early Stakeholder Outreach – Consumer Products - OAC Chapter 3745-112

What does OAC Chapter 3745-112 cover?
Chapter 3745-112 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) establishes limits on the quantity of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that may be contained in consumer products, such as cleaning products, personal care products, and home, lawn, and garden products, that are sold, supplied, offered for sale or manufactured for sale in the state of Ohio. In 2009 (74 FR 40745) OAC Chapter 3745-112 was submitted to U.S. EPA and accepted as part of Ohio’s State Implementation Plan (SIP) to attain and maintain the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for ozone.

What changes are being considered?
At this time, Ohio EPA is considering making minor changes to the rules in this chapter to correct typos and address any formatting issues. Ohio EPA will also consider other changes, as warranted, based on comments received.
