Daniels Sharpsmart Permit-to-Install

What 

Ohio EPA is seeking public comments on an Infectious Waste Permit-to-Install (PTI) drafted for Daniels Sharpsmart, Inc. for the installation of a new infectious waste treatment facility at 5010 Hudson Dr., Hudson, Ohio.

 

Why 

A public hearing is required for permits to install facilities that treat infectious waste. The Daniels Sharpsmart, Inc. facility will operate as a warehouse and distribution center for reusable medical devices and containers and have an autoclave for steam sterilization of regulated infectious waste.

 

How 

Comments regarding the draft permit will be accepted at the public hearing, online through Ohio EPA’s public comment portal or by mail to: Ohio EPA-DMWM, Attn: Permits Processing, PO Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049.


All comments received by December 5, 2025, are considered equally.
