What do OAC Chapter 3745-2 and -33 cover?
Chapter 3745-2 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) contains the technical procedures used by the agency to convert water quality standards contained in OAC Chapter 3745-1 into wasteload allocations. Wasteload allocations are used to help calculate limits for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits and other applications. The chapter also contains mixing zone requirements and procedures to be used for dissolved oxygen modeling and total maximum daily loads. This rulemaking includes rules 3745-2-01, -05, -06, -07, -09, and -11.
Rule 3745-33-07 is an NPDES rule that specifies (among other things) when NPDES permits need to have discharge limits based on wasteload allocations.
