Hancock County Sanitary Landfill

Notice is hereby given that on December 2, 2025, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) issued a draft solid waste Permit to Install (Permit Number No. 1613748) to Hancock County Commissioners, located at 514 South Main Street, 2nd Floor, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The permit, if issued as final, authorized the vertical expansion of the Hancock County Landfill located at 3763 County Road 140, Findlay, Ohio 45840, in Hancock County.


A public hearing will be held at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library, located at 206 Broadway St, Findlay, OH 45840, at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The public hearing will end when everyone in attendance has had an opportunity to provide testimony related to this project. Written comments will be accepted through January 22, 2026. Comments submitted can be mailed to Ohio EPA DMWM, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, Ohio 43216-1049, Attention Brian Dearth, or visit ohioepa.commentinput.com to submit through our Public Comment portal.
