Licking Regional Water District (161) Pet Run
What
Ohio EPA is seeking public comments on the renewal of a wastewater discharge permit, also called a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, for the proposed 161 Pet Run Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Why
Southern Licking Community Water applied to renew its existing NPDES permit for the proposed Southwest Licking Community Water and Sewer (161) Pet Run Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Impacts
If the permit is renewed, Southwest Licking Community Water and Sewer District would retain its authorization to discharge 0.250million gallons per day from the 161 Pet Run Wastewater Treatment Plant. Southwest Licking Community Water and Sewer District must still submit detailed engineering drawings to secure a permit-to-install (PTI) to build the wastewater treatment plant. Discharges cannot violate Ohio’s water quality standards that protect human health and the environment.
